Apart from the fact that this very intelligent lady doesn’t seem to know what strategic means (she goes on to details ‘small’ wins), this reads well.
From what I have seen of her, she’s tough and no-nonsense. This next Shadow Cabinet will need people to have rows, to be unpopular, and to call each other out in it, behind closed doors. No more staying mum but whining to the lobby, or to colleagues, or being loyal to the leader for loyalty’s sake.
The next Shadow Cabinet needs to understand – you are there to thrash things out. I think Fiona would do that.
