Je suis Charlie.
R.I.P. Charlie (PBUH)
Landless Peasant: You are the only other person here to support Charlie, are all the others cowards in their reticence.
are all the others cowards in their reticence.
Nope, just not interested in playing pointless ‘ I’m Spartacus ‘ games that Islamism couldn’t give a flying f**k about anyway.
If it makes you feel better then crack on. If you think the Islamists are in the slightest bit bothered then you are a tit.
A piece in today’s London Evening Standard claims that the two were influenced by the internet sermons and propaganda of Anwar al-Awlaki who was of course embraced by Ken Livingstone as a moderate influence.
Tafia: They might not be bothered but if you lay down you will trampled on.
Bob, I spent years dealing with terrorists including a couple of years doing basic intelligence stuff. Terrorists are not the slightest little bit interested in what you think of them or what they do or their cause. The aim is to get publicity – good or bad matters not a jot, just publicity. And to get you and or the government to change how your day-to-day life is carried out so that it slowly degrades. Longer in queues at airports, more baggage checks, more difficult to get bank accounts, armed police on display, traffic restrictions etc etc. But as to what you as a person think of them – they simply are not arsed. They don’t really care if you tattoo Je suis Charlie across your forehead in flourescent paint and fly out in a flag outside your house.
As far as they are concerned, the closer people stand together, the less ammunition they’ll need or the smaller the bomb.
And if you think that isn’t so, just remeber it in a few months time when the next attack happens and everyone starts playing ‘I’m Spartacus’ again. And the next one after that. And the next one after that.
Perhaps, god is a is comedian and we should all laugh at the farcical mess he has created.
@ Akira Origami
Is it really fair to blame God for the misguided, cruel, heartless and entirely selfish actions of humans? All suffering exists because of Man’s deviation from God’s law, ie. Love (no matter which man-made Religion you belong to!)
